Blurb.
Our mission: To realize that this is only my mission, to propagate my thoughts and ideas, to provide interesting stuff for the world to experience while the top-secret "do-hickey" implanted into your monitor really really slushes up your brain, to minimize the amount of swampy graphics on this page so it loads super fast, to figure out a way to get rid of that TriPod intro whenever a guest arrives, to profit economically and spiritually while doing so, to seek out new worlds, to go where practically everyone has gone before.......
And now, without further interruption, <cough> I proudly present to you, the viewer, the swankiest, most spunktastik ("spunktastik" is derived from the word "spunktastic", which is derived from "funktastic", derived from "funtastic", which happens to come from the English word "fantastic", from "fan", containing some Latin origins) experience you'll ever have the pleasure of experiencing. (hopefully......) Here are.... <cough> ....(remember to read the notes on the bottom).... ....the goods ------>

South Park is practically all over the internet these days. I'm just mentioning South Park in hopes of improving page hits. Anyway, here's an extremely well done South Park archive conveniently called: The South Park Archives. Get FAQs, scripts, complete episodes in Real Video format, pictures, etc. Kick arse! I think this is perfectly legal. After all, it was the internet that first promoted South Park. Great if you don't have cable. South Park forever! (But I'm still a loyal Simpson fanatic and still, "purple is a fruit....") South Park. Ql. South Park. Okay, I shall stop repeating South Park now...*You Don't Know JACK.
Bezerk Entertainment brings you the infamous "You Don't Know JACK" trivia game. Now, it's online and completely free. New categories every 3-4 days with your wise-arse host, Cookie! Just download the small game engine and test your trivial knowledge. (Don't feel bad, I'm "special" too.) Also take a look at Acrophobia. It's a pretty cool acronym game hosted in a chat room environment. Both games can win you money and prizes! Oohhhh....! Let's say that again for effect: money and prizes! Ooooohhhh......
Dave!
Ever wonder about all the cool stuff you miss on TV whenever you have to sleep early? Check out these cool late night comedy shows the rest of the insomniac community have been watching:
The Lateshow with David Letterman - Official homepage. Catch up on the latest "Top10", get FREE tickets and autographed photos, purchase Lateshow merchandise, catch up on last night's opening statements, find out who's on tonight, scope out upcoming guests weeks in advance, browse the "Top 10" archives! The Tonight Show with Jay Leno- Official homepage for those that prefer Jay over Dave. Upcoming guests, Jay's own line of video games, loads of info and miscellaneous time-wasters, much more!
Late Night with Conan O'Brien - Conan kicks arse! Late time slot, but well worth it. Upcoming guests, "In The Year 2000....", high-tech computer technology that could be used to find a cure for AIDS or cancer but, instead, used mainly by NBC to find out how the children of likely celebrity couples would look like "If They Mated....", + more!****Fans of music, check this out: You might be able catch live upcoming performances of your favorite bands or artists by browsing the "upcoming guests" on each of the above sites! Maybe that's why you can't book 'em for your private little party....
Real Audio. Is there such thing as fake audio? (I wonder how that sounds like...) Well anyway, check out these cool RA songs! I've only got two posted (ones that I think are awesome), but I'll be swapping them occasionally and you can find a whole bunch of others where I got mine - which is here, at [Tom's MP3s and RealAudio!]. I don't know the guy, but he seems to be dealing a fully legitimate business. All songs are recorded off the radio so they're not illegal, bootlegged, or satanic or anything. You can listen straight off my page or right click and save. If the saved copy won't work or sounds mighty screwed, try retrieving a copy from your "Cache" directory. They're usually a few K smaller than your saved copy and end with a similar extension. (Such as M0qg3691.rm) I'm also going to have some Mpeg audio files here in the future, so you should consider getting the free MP3+ player from WinAMP.com if you haven't already. If you like 'em, you should consider purchasing the CD since these full sampled sound somewhat krappy....
Currently featuring:
[RM] Possible Theme: Maybe, "Hallucinogens"Dammit - by Blink 182 /Better than Prozac. Stays in your head for up to, and including, 3 days.
-and-
Drinking in L.A. - by Bran Van 3000 /Despite its trippy sounding tune and the suggestive title, you'll feel anything but depressed. Interesting lyrics and sort of Beck-like. (Beck rocks!)You can find the lyrics to these songs as well as lyrics to almost any song at the International Lyrics Server. If you don't already have a Real Audio player, grab one for free from Real.com.
Know what's cool? Vivo. Know what's sorta dead? Vivo. Well, it's dying
off 'cause Microsoft put out that not-so-much fancier Netshow player. I
used to be a huge fan of this streaming media thing until it started stalling,
instead of streaming. However, I've acquired some full length music videos
while they were still available from AltVideos.com,
also known as the AreOhVee network.
("recorded" - because their staff once told me it was like paying for cable
[in this case, a net connection] and recording programs off it with your
VCR [in this case, copying stashed files from your "Cache" directory].
People aren't supposed to do it, but most folks do once in a while.) They
really rock! You can view past and present full length music videos of
your favorite bands/artists on demand. You must get the Netshow
player to view files from AltVideos.
If you want to view or save the files that I have for future viewing, you
gotta grab the ViVoActive
player from Vivo's
web site. They can be streamed and stored in "Cache" if you've got
a clear 56k connection. Otherwise, just right click, save, and open file
in browser. I'll be swapping them from time to time. Whenever I feel like
it. Roughly, in about a week or two.
Currently featuring:
[VIV] Possible Theme: Perhaps, "The Carnival"
The
Memory Remains - by Metallica, featuring Marianne Faithful
/Can't get more metal than Metallica. Join in as Marianne Faithful takes
them on one heck of a ride. Dah da da da dah dah da... da da da da. One
of the koolest videos I've got.
-and -
Mouth
- by Bush /This song was featured in the movie
"An American Werewolf in Paris" and can be found on its soundtrack. The
movie got 2 thumbs down (Dammit Sisbert!) but the video rocks. Watch these
guys drive off to a carnivalisque environment, where the party really begins.
Seraphine (Julie Delphy, with the cool green eyes) lashes out under the
full flat-white moon!
These are best viewed on a computer with 640x480 resolution (Don't try counting each pixel yourself! This can cause blurry vision and/or static shock, or worse...) and 16-bit color. This maximized video size and experience. Kool.
More to come......
